How to Hatch Student Eggs

Student avatars will be set to eggs until a student logs into their account, once a student has logged into their account their avatar will "hatch" into a monster! To learn more about how students can log into their account check out this article: How Students Can Log Into ClassDojo

If a student doesn't log into their account, their egg will hatch automatically after 4 weeks. To find the exact date of when the eggs will hatch you can follow these steps:

1. Open your class

2. Click on “Options” in the upper right corner of the screen and then select “Edit Class"

3. Click on “Settings” on the top toolbar

4. You will see the date the eggs will hatch listed under “Monster eggs”

   

You can also manually hatch student eggs if you do not want to wait 4 weeks or if your students are not going to be logging into their accounts. Here is how to do this:

1. Open your class on the website
   
   
2. Click on "Options" in the upper right corner of the screen and then select "Edit class"
   
3. Click on a student
4. Under the student's avatar in the pop-up window select "Hatch egg"
   
   
5. Tap “Save” to hatch the student’s egg
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the remainder of your students
