Transfer Class Ownership to Another Teacher

When a teacher or school leader creates a class, they automatically become the owner or "admin" of the class. The owner of a class is the only teacher that can transfer ownership to another teacher and the only one that can add or remove co-teachers in the class settings.

As a verified School Leader, you can now transfer ownership of any class in your Directory.

How to Transfer a Class for School Leaders: 

1. Click on the Directory tab at the top of your School Story feed and click on the "Classes" tab.

2. Scroll down to find the class and click the downward-pointing arrow to the right of the class name and select “Transfer Ownership”.   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Search for the teacher's name or select the teacher's name from the list of verified teachers at your school.
4. Click on the teacher's name or search for the verified Teacher's name and click "Okay" to confirm.
5.  The class is now owned by the chosen teacher and they will be able to add and remove co-teachers.
