How Students can Submit a Voice Recording through their Portfolio

Having your students submit a Portfolio post using voice recording is easy using the ClassDojo app! Currently, this feature is not available on our website.

iOS

If you are assigning an activity that you would like students to respond to using a voice recording, please assign them a text entry. Here are directions you can share with your students to help them respond to the activity using a voice recording in their post:

1. Log into your student account on the ClassDojo app
2. You will see assigned activities under the class name. Tap on the activity and then tap “Start” to begin
3. At the bottom of the window, select the red microphone button and begin recording
   

4. When finished, tap on the checkmark in the upper right corner

5. After deciding whether to add a caption, photo, or drawing (all optional), select the blue paper airplane button in the upper right corner to submit the post for your teacher’s approval
   

Please note: Students also have an option to add a voice recording at the end to drawing portfolio posts.

Android

If you are assigning an activity that you would like students to respond to using a voice recording (no video), please assign them a journal entry. Here are directions you can share with your students to help them respond to the activity using a voice recording in their post:

1. Log into your student account on the ClassDojo app
2. From the “TO DO” heading, tap on the assigned activity, then press “Start”
3. At the bottom of the window, select either the photo gallery or drawing button to add a photo or drawing to your post
4. When finished, tap on the paper airplane in the upper right corner
5. After deciding whether to add a caption or annotating your post (all optional), select the recording button icon next to your name to start your voice recording. Press the red stop button to end your voice recording
   
6. Select the blue paper airplane button in the upper right corner to submit the post for your teacher’s approval
   
   Please note: Students also have an option to add a voice recording at the end to drawing portfolio posts.
