How to Translate Messages

We know how important it is to stay connected to your child's teacher, so we're excited to offer ClassDojo Translate, which will translate Messages into 36 different languages!   

To translate messages from your child’s teacher, you must have your language settings set to your desired language.

To Set Your Preferred Account Language:

  1. Click on your name in the upper right corner
  2. Select “Account Settings"
  3. Under "Language preference," select your preferred language
  4. Click the blue "Save changes" button

In your messages tab, under each message the teacher sends you will see a “See translation” button. Clicking this will translate the message into the language to which your account is set. To revert back to the original, select the “See original” button.

To translate messages from your child’s teacher, you must have your language settings set to your desired language.

To Set Your Preferred Account Language:

  1. Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner
  2. Select “Account”
  3. Select “Language” to view the list of languages
  4. Select your preferred language and your account will automatically update to it

In your messages tab, under each message the teacher sends you will see a “See translation” button. Clicking this will translate the message into the language to which your account is set. To revert back to the original, select the “See original” button.

Android

We know how important it is to stay connected to your child's teacher, so we're excited to offer ClassDojo Translate, which will translate Messages into 36 different languages!   

To translate messages from your child’s teacher, you must have your language settings set to your desired language. 

At this time, you are unable to change your language settings on your parent account via the Android app. Please log onto your account via the web or an iOS device to update this setting.

Once your account is set to your preferred language, in your messages tab under each message the teacher sends you will see a “See translation” button. Clicking this will translate the message into the language to which your account is set. To revert back to the original, select the “See original” button.
