How to Schedule a Story Post

Web, iOS, Android

Creating a Scheduled Post

Did you know you can schedule posts to your Class or School Story from your browser up to one month in advance? If you like to plan ahead, you can create posts to be published at a date and time of your choice. From setting reminders for students to bring their books on Library Day to announcing School Holidays, scheduled posts help to clear your plate so you can focus on what's happening today.

From the Web

Here's how to schedule School or Class Story posts from your browser:

  1. Log into your account and open your Class or School Story
  2. Enter your story and click the clock icon at the bottom left of your pop-up
  3. Select the date and time you would like to publish your post - up to one month in advance - and click "Save"
  4. Click "Schedule post" and you're all set! 🎉

Removing a Scheduled Post

If you have a Class or School Story Post scheduled, you should see a pending post banner below your Story Composer, like this:

Scheduled posts cannot be edited at this time. However, you can delete a pending post if you need to make changes to what you have written. To remove a scheduled post:

  1. Log into your account from teach.classdojo.com and open your class
  2. Open your Class Story and look for the scheduled post banner below your Story composer
  3. Click "View"
  4. Click the trash icon beside the post you would like to cancel
  5. Click the red button to confirm

Please note: If you are not seeing that banner, this is an indication that there is no pending post. It is possible that your post has already been sent (in which case, you would see the post in your Story feed) or that the post was not saved due to a network issue.
