How Do I Upload a Roster to School Directory?

Setting up your school is easy with School Directory.  You can enter your entire school all at once by uploading your school's roster.  From there, teachers can import students from the roster to their classes.  

To Upload Your Roster:

  1. Click on the school tile in the right side of your dashboard
  2. Click on the "Directory" tab, then on the "Students" tab
  3. Click "+ Add students"
  4. Click on the "Import student list"     Screenshot__497_.png
  5. Select the "Import from Word" or "Import from Excel" tab
  6. Paste your roster into the blank field 

    Note: Each listing should be formatted as "First name Last name." You can include a parent connection email after the last name as well, if desired.  There should be no commas.

  7. Click "Done adding students" when you're finished

Note: If your school's roster isn't in a Microsoft Word document or an Excel spreadsheet, you can also manually enter the students' names and parents’ email addresses.

Note: Our apps work best for adding one to two students at a time.  If you're trying to add an entire class or your whole school, we highly recommend using your computer and logging into the website here.  Our website offers the ability to upload in bulk by copying and pasting from a Word or Excel document.  

  1. From your dashboard, tap on your school's name

  2. Select the "School Directory" button at the bottom of the screen  ios_directory_bar.png
  3. Tap on the "Students" tab at the top of the screen
  4. Tap on the "+ Add student" button
  5. Enter the student's name.  Formatting should be "First name Last name"  
  6. Tap the  "+ Add [student’s name]" button that appears below the input line
  7. When you're done adding students, tap the "Done" button to submit them to the School Directory

  7. When you're done adding students, tap the "Done" button to submit them to the School Directory
