How Do I Edit a School Directory?

Web, iOS, Android

From the Web

Adding and Editing Students:

Verified teachers, ClassDojo Mentors, and verified School Leaders can add students to your school's Directory, and make edits once they're added.  Please note only school leaders and mentors can verify teachers.

Students will automatically be added to Directory so long as a teacher is verified when they add the students.  If you have a class where students weren't added to Directory, please email us at hello@classdojo.com for help.

To Edit or Remove Students From Your School Directory:

  1.  Open your school's listing by clicking on the school tile near the top of your homescreen
  2. Click on the Directory tab, then on the Student tab
  3. Use the "Search by Name" line to enter the name of the student you'd like to edit, then click on the matching student from the list generated below
  4. Click on the student's name to bring up an edit pop up
  5. You can now edit the student's first and last name, add parent connections, or remove the student from the school

Note: Any verified teacher can remove or edit a student in Directory.  Editing a student's name or removing a student's parent connection will change the student for all teachers using that student, so please use this feature with caution.
