How to Enable, Disable, and Delete Comments on a Class Story Post

You can manage your Class Story comments by either enabling/disabling commenting or by deleting individual comments. 

To Turn On/Off Comments for Class Story Posts:

1. Click on the class you would like to change this setting in 
2. Select "Options" in the upper right corner
3. Click on "Edit class" in the drop-down menu
4. Select the "Settings" tab
5. Beside "Enable comments", toggle the bar from on (green) to off (gray) depending on what you would like your setting to be for this class.

Please Note:

• If you disable comments, it will disable comments for everyone connected to the class (parents, co-teachers, and students). If comments are enabled, the option to leave comments enabled for parents and co-teachers but disable them for students will be present. 
• You will need to change this setting in each class individually. 
• Only ClassDojo Mentors and verified School Leaders can enable or disable the School Story comments setting. For more on how they can do this, please see this tutorial. 

To Delete a Comment:

1. Click on the "Class Story" tab
2. Find the post with the comment that you'd like to remove and put your cursor over the time the comment was written to the right of the comment to bring up an "X" beside the comment that you can click.
     
3. Confirm the deletion by clicking "Delete"

iOS

2. Tap the three horizontal dots in the upper right-hand corner and tap "Comment settings"
   
3. Beside "Enable comments", toggle the bar from on (green) to off (gray) depending on what you would like your setting to be for this class.                   
4. If enabling comments for students, select "continue" to indicate that parental consent has been obtained or that you are consenting on behalf of the parent.                                                                 

Please Note:

• If you disable comments, it will disable comments for everyone connected to the class (parents, co-teachers, and students). If comments are enabled, the option to leave comments enabled for parents and co-teachers but disable them for students will be present. 
• You will need to change this setting in each class individually.

To Delete a Comment: 

1. Open your class
2. Tap the "Stories" icon at the bottom of the screen
3. After scrolling to the post, find the comment you'd like to remove and tap “[number of] comment(s)” to view it
4. Tap on the comment and select "Delete comment" to remove it instantly 

Please Note: At this time, parent and student comments will only be able to be deleted from a post on the app by the teacher who created the post.

Android

4. Select and hold the comment, then select "Delete comment" to remove it instantly

Please Note: At this time, parent and student comments will only be able to be deleted from a post on the app by the teacher who created the post.
