How to Send a Photo to Parents

iOS, Android, Web

iOS

  1. Open your class
  2. Click on the "Messages" icon at the top right of the screen  ios_message_navigation.png
  3. Select the parent you'd like to send a photo to, or tap "All Parents" to send a message to all connected parents
  4. Tap camera icon to take a photo, or tap the "pictures" icon to select an image  from your Camera Roll.  Note: You'll be prompted to allow ClassDojo access to your camera and camera roll, tap "OK" to allow.  Tapping "Don't Allow" will deny permission, and you won't be able to send photo messages.  You'll also need to allow access to your photos if you'd like to use images from your camera roll.  ios_messaging_box.png
  5. Select an image from your camera roll, or take one using your camera
  6. Write any accompanying message, if desired, then tap "Send"

Android

  1. Open your class
  2. Tap on the "Messages" button at the bottom of the screen  android_bottom_menu.png
  3. Select the parent you'd like to send a photo to, or tap on All Parents to send a message to all connected parents
  4. Tap on the camera icon to take a photo or select one from your gallery
  5. Write any accompanying message, then tap the blue arrow to send it  android_message_all_parents.png

Web

At the moment, sending photos to parents via the messages feature is only available on the Android and iOS apps.  However, teachers can post images to the class through Class Story.  

To do this:

  1. Open your class
  2. Click on the Class Story tab
  3. Click on the "Add Photo" button
  4. Drag a photo into the upload pop up, or click on "Choose File" to browse your computer for an image to upload
