Add or Create a Class

Web, iOS, Android

From the Web

  1. Click on the "+ New Class" tile
  2. Enter a name for your class, select your class grade level or year, and choose your sharing points preference Updated_Helpdesk_article_images__7.JPG
  3. Click the blue “Create class” button
  4. From your new class, click on the “+ Add students” tile
  5. Enter a student's first and last name.  You'll see a drop-down menu appear. If there's a matching student in the Student Directory you'll see a "Matches from School Directory" notice above the name of the student and the name of the last class the student was in (or the current class they are in).  Below that will be an "Add [student’s name]" option. Selecting the option with the class name will import from the School Directory, selecting the "Add [student’s name]" option will add the student as new.  If you're connected to a school, students who are already in your School Directory should auto-populate as you enter the first few letters of their name.  Updated_Helpdesk_article_images__8.JPG                               
  6. To finish, you can invite families to join your class or create customized skills!

iOS

  1. From your dashboard, tap on the "+ Add class" button below your current class listUpdated_Helpdesk_article_images__73__1_.png
  2. Name your class, set your grade level, choose your preference for sharing points  with parents, then click on the "Next" button
  3. Select “Add students” from the prompt, or click on the “+ Student” button from within your new class, to begin adding students to your School Directory.Updated_Helpdesk_article_images__75.png
  4. Add your students by entering their full name.  Tap on the matching name from the drop down menu to add the student from the School Directory, or tap on the "Add (student name)" to add the student as new. Then, select “Done”Updated_Helpdesk_article_images__76.png
  5. Your invites for this newly created class will be emailed to you after selecting the 3 dot button in the top right corner of your class, then “Connect parents,” then “Get parent printouts.”  If you add any new students, you can always request updated invites from the web or app.

Don't forget, once your class is created, you can further customize it by doing things such as Add new skills, or edit existing skills!

Android

  3. Select “Add students” from the prompt, or tap on the “+ Add” button from within your new class, to begin adding students to your School Directory.Updated_Helpdesk_article_images__139.jpg

  4. Add your students by entering their full name.  Tap on the matching name from the drop down menu to add the student from the School Directory, or tap on the "Add (student name)" to add the student as new. Then, select “Done”Updated_Helpdesk_article_images__140.jpg
